The Cornerstone is the easiest way to meet Fork and Flare. It's our smallest square board, built to the same standard as every board twice its size. The owner tastes and hand-selects every cheese. Our team slices the salami the day your board is built. Every berry is washed by hand before it reaches your table. It serves 3 to 4 guests on a 12-inch square board, sized for a small get-together, a quiet catch-up, or a gift that lands better than flowers.

Three cheeses, and each one earns its place. A small board has no room for filler, so every wheel here is named, sourced, and chosen the way the big boards are: from creameries we can point to, with awards we can name. They rotate with the season. We keep a cheese only if we'd serve it to our own family.

Everything else meets that same standard. Seven-day cold-smoked salami, sliced the day of, sits at the center. Strawberries, grapes, blackberries, and blueberries come hand-washed, one at a time. Olives, cornichons, sea-salted Marcona almonds, and stone-ground mustard round it out, with a mini honey for the sweet note.

It arrives ready to serve, with artisan crackers tucked in. Unwrap it and set it down. That's the whole job. It's built for date nights, small celebrations, thank-you gifts, and anytime two to four people deserve something better than a cheese plate.
